Conestoga High School has again reported the most National Merit Semifinalists in all of Pennsylvania with thirty-nine this year. This recognition is based on the students’ performance on the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Nationwide there are approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the annual 66th National Merit Scholarship Program. As the highest-scoring entrants in each state, they represent less than 1% of United States high school seniors. The number of Semifinalists in a state is proportional to the state’s percentage of the national total of graduating seniors.

These academically talented high school seniors will go on to compete for some 7,600 scholarships through the National Merit Corporation or its sponsoring organizations.

Congratulations to all recognized students on their outstanding and astounding accomplishments and best of luck to the Semifinalists on their journey to future achievements.
