The Haverford School to host the 84th Annual PCS Arts and Literary contests for Latin and Ancient Greek students

On Saturday, February 25, students from various schools will participate in the 84th Annual Philadelphia Classical Society Latin – and Greek – Week contests.

On that Saturday morning, teachers from the following schools will be delivering their students’ “traditional arts” projects to the designated display rooms at The Haverford School:

Friends’ Central School, Merion Mercy Academy, Regina Angelorum Academy, LMSD’s Black Rock Middle School, Radnor Middle School, Radnor High School, Cardinal O’Hara High School, Academy of Notre Dame, Conrad Weiser High School, and Sandy Run Middle School.

Also, Baldwin School, Episcopal Academy, The Haverford School, Philadelphia Classical School, Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, B. Reed Henderson High School, E. N. Peirce Middle School, Villa Joseph Marie High School, and Owen J. Roberts Middle School and High School.

In addition, Upper Dublin High School, Haverford Township Middle School, Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Phoenixville Area High School, Colonial Middle School, The Shipley School, and the Middletown Free Library Homeschoolers will be participating.

Founded in 1924, The Philadelphia Classical Society Board of Directors consists of President Mary Brown, 1st Vice President Mary Jane Koons, 2nd Vice President Dr. Andrew Fenton, Treasurer Meghan Quinn McKee, Latin Week Director Jeannette Keshishian, and Website Coordinator Dr. Valentina DeNardis.
