Gloria P. Wolek OBITUARY

Gloria P. Wolek, 90, passed away on May 29, 2024, at Shannondell in Audubon, PA. She is survived by her children: Terri; Nan Hunt and her husband Matt; Michael and his wife Cindy; Bill and his wife Andrea; and her grandchildren: Matthew and his partner Sarah Grace Stefan; Sarah Stout and her husband Ian; Steven, and Christopher. Gloria was born in Grosse Pointe, MI, and graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in Nursing. She married Francis (“Frank”) W. Wolek in 1956 and was active in various community organizations, including her twenty-year tenure as a commissioner with the Lower Merion Township. She was the first woman to be named President of the Board of Commissioners. Gloria and Frank enjoyed extensive travel in Europe and throughout the US. Gloria’s diverse interests included gardening, cooking, quilting, reading, judging figure skating, walking, and exercising. A funeral mass will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Audubon, PA on July 16, 2024 at 10 AM. Instead of flowers, please send donations in memory of Gloria P.
