In late spring, the Habitat for Humanity Affiliate of Montgomery and Delaware Counties (“HFHMDC”) hosted their 35th annual fundraiser at Merion Cricket Club in Haverford. Approximately 125 attendees came to show support of the organization.
On Wednesday evening, May 1, former Philadelphia Flyers alumni players, board members, Flyers organization VIPs, family, media, and fans came to show their support at the Snider Celebrity bartending fundraiser to benefit Ed Snider Youth Hockey and Education. Hosted at the Great American Pub rooftop in Wayne, guests enjoyed chatting with the Philadelphia Flyers alumni including Joe Watson, Bernie Parent, Ed Hospodar, Bob Kelly, Neil Little, and Lou Nolan to name a few.
Guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres as they previewed fine art, ceramics, period furniture, folk art, porcelain, an array of antiques, silver, jewelry, textiles, and decorative accessories from over 40 galleries and antique dealers spanning the seventeenth century to present.
Approximately 200 chair members, sponsors, committee members, artists and friends were in attendance and enjoyed an open bar and gourmet fare. Guests also had the chance to be the first to view and purchase the exhibiting art and meet some of the locally and nationally recognized artists.
"Being honored by an organization as impactful as Bancroft was an incredibly special moment,” Adam Landau said. "By working with a population of people with severe special needs, Bancroft serves the most vulnerable members of our community.  It has truly been a pleasure to serve on the board for the past nine years, and it will remain a passion and priority for me going forward."
On April 2 Main Line School Night (MLSN) our largest provider of non-accredited adult education classes in Philadelphia's Main Line and surrounding communities hosted a discussion on longevity and how to age smarter.  The evening included an event sponsor reception with drinks and hors d'oeuvres followed by a 90 minute talk, Q-and-A and panel discussion moderated by Stephanie Stahl from CBS "Health Watch".
Approximately 24 area restaurants served up their best cuisine to guests including Amada, DePaul’s Table, Joey Chops, Marc Vetri’s Fiore Rosso,  Autograph Brasserie, White Dog Cafe, Terrain, Rosalie, Lola's Garden, Fleming’s, The Choice, and At The Table. Food was served to the guests but serving families was the theme of the evening as 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to scholarships and grants.
On Saturday, April 6, approximately 600 family, St. Mary Magdalen (SMM) parishioners,  and friends attended the 2024 St. Mary Magdalen Legacy of Love gala to raise funds for the SMM School but also to give honor and tribute to St. Mary Magdalen's pastor, the Rev. Monsignor Ralph Chieffo.
