MALVERN — The second crade girls at Villa Maria Academy Lower School sponsored a service project to collect personal care items to support local veterans. The items were donated to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville. They collected deodorant, hand lotion, and reading glasses. The girls sorted and counted the donations, and 539 total items were collected.

As part of their service project, the second grade girls also wrote letters of support and encouragement to veterans receiving care at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville. These letters accompanied their donations.

This is another one of the many ways Villa Maria Academy is committed to empowering young women to give back to their local community.
