RADNOR — Stephanie Lim Capello recently joined Peter’s Place, a Center for Grieving Children and Families, in Radnor as executive director and will lead the organization into its next growth phase.
“I am humbled and proud to be the next executive director of Peter’s Place. The organization has a tremendous reputation in the community and has already positively impacted the lives of so many,” Lim Capello said.
Founded in 2001, Peter’s Place is a center for grieving children and families. The mission is to provide those children and families with safe and supportive environments and to foster an understanding of the effects of grief and death.
Lim Capello brings tremendous nonprofit experience to the role, having served in leadership positions with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Please Touch Museum and the Philadelphia Zoo. For the last three years, she has been the director of admissions, marketing, and business development for ESF Camps & Experiences.
“We are thrilled to welcome Stephanie to Peter’s Place,” said Board Chair Bill Kiesling. “Her background, leadership style, and ability to engage those around her are just what Peter’s Place needs as it moves into the future. Our goal is to provide safe and supportive environments for grieving children and families in our region, and Stephanie will help us figure out new ways to achieve that mission.”
She received a B.A. from Villanova University and currently serves as board president of Villanova’s Alumni Association and the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
“I am looking forward to working with the team and the board of directors to expand outreach to more families and continue the important message of openly talking about grief, sadness, and tragedy and letting families know that we are here to support them,” said Lim Capello.
