Each year, through the generosity of donors, the Tree of Life at Lankenau’s Wynnewood campus is aglow with lights. Each light represents an individual whom a donor has chosen to honor or remember. Those designated receive a card acknowledging the donor’s recognition and gift in their name, and all names are inscribed in the Tree of Life commemorative book on display in the hospital’s main lobby. “This designation is a very special way to celebrate the people who have touched our lives,” says Pat Nogar, Co-chair of this year’s event.
The Tree of Life Ceremony also honors individuals who embody the values of caring, community and service. “So many women and men at Lankenau exemplify these values,” said Jill Acker, Co-chair. “This year, we are proud to recognize Casey Bien-Aimie, Chaplain; Clarice Grant, MSW, LSW, Senior Services; and Laurie Watson, RN, MSN, Director of Patient Experience, who worked tirelessly to care for patients living with mental health issues during the isolating times of the past several years. We thank them for their dedication and are proud to celebrate their service.”\
The lighting ceremony will take place on November 28 at 5:30 p.m., at Lankenau’s Annenberg Center. Parking is available in Lot A and parking tickets will be validated.
“We welcome the community to join us in celebrating caring, community and service by supporting this year’s Tree of Life and making our tree the brightest yet,” added Ms. Nogar.
