NORRISTOWN — Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds Jeanne Sorg, along with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, is inviting all Montgomery County veterans to the first Veterans $camJam, a free event that will educate veterans about the frauds and scams impacting them daily.

The free event takes place on Friday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Montgomery County Human Services Center, 1430 DeKalb St., Norristown. Registration is recommended to guarantee free parking. Veterans and their families can register online https://forms.office.com/r/nh7Dmp8XuC or call the Recorder of Deeds office at 610-278-3289.

Veterans will hear from experts on investment fraud, scam prevention and how to take steps to protect themselves.

“This is such a great program and I am so happy to be able to bring this valuable information to the veterans in Montgomery County,” said Sorg. “I am looking forward to learning how to stop fraudsters in their tracks right alongside our veterans!”

$camJam is a fun event for everyone. There will be Fraud BINGO — with prizes — snacks, a consumer information fair, and veterans can sign up for FraudSleuth, the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds’ free property alert service.

If veterans have questions about attending or would like to register for $camJam, contact the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds office at 610-278-3289.
